東芝ULSI研究所に入社後、約30年間、半導体分野において研究・開発・解析に従事してきました。
半導体プロセス開発、電気特性評価、SEM、TEM/STEM、SIMS、Laser-SNMSをはじめとする材料・デバイス解析、計測技術開発まで幅広く経験しています。
技術課題に応じて複数の分析・計測手法を組み合わせ、得られたデータから原因を整理し、次に何を調べるべきかを考えることを専門としてきました。また、必要に応じて社内部門や社外組織の枠を越えて研究者・技術者と連携し、新たな技術開発や研究プロジェクトを自ら企画・立ち上げ、推進してきました。
現在も大学・学術活動を通じて、半導体およびナノ領域の計測・解析に関する研究を続けています。
